We are officially able to be presented!!!!!
All the information, all the hardwork, is done :)
Our caseworker received the hard copies of our profile and as of today we will be available to be presented to any birthmother whose criteria includes us and who meets our criteria as well.
I can't tell you all how excited I am. This makes it seem more real somehow. I know that the average wait is 6-12 months. I know that the cards are stacked up against us to get a placement before we have to put our account on hold. I know, I know.
But I also know that the shortest wait time was 1 day. I also know that we have very few filters on our end. I also know that we fit in the category of what the majority of birthmother's are looking for. I also know that the phone could ring at any moment with a request for us to be the adoptive parents.
Now for the hard part - waiting, waiting and more waiting with nothing to do. This is now out of our control. Please, please, please keep your fingers crossed and us in your minds for a quick placement. We have been trying to start a family since December 2010. It is getting to be such a long time.
